Delighted to be joining Emerald City Literary Agency!

ecla-jpgNot only is today St. Paddy’s day, filled with rainbows, leprechauns on parade, pots of gold, green beer and green bagels (at least here in NY!), but it’s also the day I get to announce that I’ve joined the inimitable Mandy Hubbard and her team at the Emerald City Literary Agency! Of course I’m physically staying in New York (because you’d have to drag me out of here, kicking, screaming, and clawing to get back) but my new work digs are now located right outside the Emerald City of Seattle.

I will be forever thankful to Jennifer DeChiara for giving me my first actual job as an agent. And for me change is really scary and difficult to do. It’s hard to make a big move. But listen carefully to this next part, writers: When opportunities present themselves in our lives, it behooves us to take them. Because guess what?! THIS is my life! THIS is your life! So I did it. I took the leap! And voila!

I’m so very happy and proud to be joining forces with Mandy, agency assistant Lindsay Mealing (who will be a new agent in about 10 minutes!), and our contracts manager KirstenWolf. I can’t adequately express how honored I am that my clients are following me over the rainbow. Today is a lovely day.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day everybody!

With love,

(G)Linda, the good-ish witch agent!

  13. Congratulations on taking the leap. And, this Portland resident admits, Seattle’s a great place to live, even virtually. Good beer (including gluten-free), good coffee, great mountains and the Puget Sound. Hope you get to visit often!

  14. Since I’m Scots-Irish, I think ANYWAY you can celebrate Saint Patrick’s Day is cool but what better way to celebrate than with this awesome announcement! Congrats on the new career move!
