Before joining the Jennifer DeChiara Literary Agency as an Associate Agent in 2011, I read manuscripts, book proposals, and queries at Folio Literary Management; was Submissions Manager at a small start-up agency; did a short stint at the Jean V. Naggar Literary Agency and a longer stint at Meryl Zegarek Public Relations. Prior to that I was Community Relations Manager at Barnes and Noble, where I set up author readings and signings and organized book groups and book fairs. Currently, I oversee social media (including the blog) for the New York chapter of the Women’s National Book Association, where I am VP/Communications. I usually lead at least one workshop about publishing each semester in the Hofstra Continuing Education Department. I graduated from Buffalo University with a BA in English and Environmental Studies and went on for graduate work in Creative Writing at Temple University. I also seem to have picked up a BSN from New York University in my travels. I’m a member of SCBWI and I love speaking at conferences and writing retreats. Some day I’ll finish writing my own novel.
